It’s been a wild ride for sure and one can’t help but wonder what the next current year will hold. Either way, it’s great to know that while this may be a boat out on the sea, Captain Lampshade is not alone on that boat. In fact, this show has the greatest crew of listeners one could ask for.
The sermon this week does not center around New Year’s resolutions but instead, daily resolutions. Resolving each and every day to take up your cross and walk in the way of truth. Even if you stumble, even if you failed yesterday, today you must resolve to get up, take up your cross and follow Christ. This is your calling and this is your mission in life.
As we roll out the old year and roll in the new, let us resolve to stand forever in the truth. Let us pledge to uphold our cause, for our cause is a righteous one founded on the truth. While the enemies of truth will no doubt continue to work tirelessly to shut it down, let us also work tirelessly to persevere. For victory is already ours. We just have to be willing to see it through.
