Sven Longshanks and Dennis Wise look at the curious murder/suicide of a White film maker who was trying to make a Hollywood movie exposing conspiracy theories and creeping authoritarianism.
Dennis has been looking at the backstory behind the death of David Crowley, an Iraq veteran who was making a movie called ‘Gray State’ that was going to expose how our civil liberties are rapidly being eroded in the West, through the telling of a fictitious story involving RFID chips, citizens being sent to FEMA camps and massacres of all dissenters. In one part of the trailer that shows the chief bad guy, it looks like he has an ‘M’ symbol on his clothing, similar to the ‘M’ on a Mason’s apron.
Before the movie could get made however, the film-maker died in mysterious circumstances. The police say that he murdered his wife and daughter and then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. Some claim that he was killed by the State to prevent the film being made, but he could also have been killed by Moslems. His wife was an apostate Pakistani Moslem, who had converted to Christianity when she married him in Texas. The walls of the living room had ‘Allah Akhbar’ written in blood on them and a notebook was left by the bodies with ‘submit to Allah’ written on it. A blood-smeared Koran was also left in the room with a page open on Moslem prayers for the dead.
Why did the police not mention that this could have been an honour killing? Why did they assume he must have been the killer? Dennis and Sven discuss their theories about what might have happened.
