The Daily Nationalist: Truth and Speech Laws – DN 110320

Sven Longshanks explains how we can still speak the truth, despite speech laws which some claim stifle that ability.

The speech laws are intended to prosecute those who have an intent to incite hatred of particular groups in society. But if you are describing group behaviour of an observably different group, then you are in effect saying that behaviour should not be judged in the same way it would be if it was our own group.

For example, Blacks as a group have a much higher propensity for violent crime than Whites, which implies they have less self-control than Whites and are not as responsible for their actions in the same way that we might be.

That is not inciting hate, it is giving an explanation for the differing patterns of behaviour we observe and if anything, should inspire sympathy for them.

Criticism should not be made of other people groups for their behaviour, but it can definitely be made of our own people group for ignoring our history and traditions and importing very different ethnicities that we knew would cause friction within our society simply by just being themselves.
