Sven Longshanks looks at attempts to highlight the high levels of disability in the Pakistani Moslem community.

More than half of all marriages in that community are between first cousins, which has led to 3% of the population creating 33% of the disabled children.

As well as the cost to the NHS and the benefits system, there is the emotional cost to the families themselves.

Nazir Azfal says the reason for these marriages is greed and laws need to be made to prevent them.

But wouldn’t this disproportionately effect Moslems and be discriminatory?
