Sven Longshanks looks at the importance of not using hostile language when discussing free speech issues.

When looking for hate speech the police are advised to look for hostility or prejudice against a minority.

Hostility is dictionary defined as being 'warlike, aggressive, adverse, contrary or unsympathetic'.

So long as we place what we say within a context that excludes those possibilities, we should stay within the law.
