After the success of drag queen story hour, the library were looking for new ways to scandalise the children and settled on the Mandinga carnival troupe.

The anti-racist story telling troupe turned up with a rainbow monkey with a naked butt and a dildo swinging between its legs, as part of an event advertising ‘fun, family-friendly activities and a safe space for children to connect with their peers’.
