Sven Longshanks looks at calls to replace more White people in the Olympics and explains that this is the reason why we say ‘Its OK to be White’
We regularly hear that Whiteness is a problem that must he done away with, that there are too many White people in this role or that, or that White people’s racism or unconscious bias are the reason why non-Whites are not well represented somewhere.
This is why we tell people ‘Its OK to be White’ not because we think it is not OK to be non-White.
The latest instance of this comes from Chris Grant from Sport England, who claims there is overt racism at every level throughout sport, implying that sport talent spotters are racist and deliberately not picking the best athletes.
