Sven Longshanks looks at a noble endeavour by academics to counter the subversion of our glorious history.
Top academics from the University of Cambridge have set up a website to counter the false views being promoted by BLM adherents and other statue-smashers.
They are hoping to provide a definitive view on history for politicians and councils to use in countering calls for iconoclasm and ‘contextualisation’.
It remains to be seen just how objective they will be, but they do at least sound genuine in their motives.
