Sven Longshanks looks at the need for people to see themselves represented in society around them.
Black soccer player Troy Deeney wants Black History to be mandatory in schools, as he wants his children to identify with what they are being taught.
But if Black History is taught, then the White students will not be identifying with it. This just offloads the problem to another people group.
If it wasn’t for multiculturalism, the problem would not exist. He admits his own childhood left him with a confused identity, because he had a White mother and a Black father.
This is another problem that would never arise if it wasn’t for multiculturalism.
