Patriotic History: The Legend of Albion – PH 021822

Sven Longshanks and The PatriArt talk about the first written record of the colonising of Britain.

The Brut, or The Chronicle of Britain, begins with the legend of Albion and her murderous sisters travelling from Syria to Britain.

Their father was the ruler of 33 provinces in Mesopotamia and there are many similarities between him and and the historical king, Shulgi of Ur.

His enemy Laban may have a connection to Laban in the Bible, who was also in the same place and at the same time.

The legend appears to contain more than one kernel of truth about the original inhabitants of Albion.
