Sven Longshanks and Grandpa Dan look at an example of statistics being misrepresented to show diversity is a strength.
The Bank of America are claiming that a diverse workforce will increase returns for businesses.
They point to the fact that the top quarter most successful companies are also the most diverse.
But correlation is not causation, it is far more likely these already wealthy companies could take the loss that employing unqualified people entails, whilst still making a profit.
Smaller companies that do the same, will soon find that diversity for diversity’s sake is a recipe for disaster.
