Sven Longshanks looks at health differences in outcomes between Black and White mothers.

‘Black Mothers Matter’ are drawing attention to the fact Black mothers are 4 times more likely to die in child birth than White mothers, in Britain.

They are alleging that this is down to racism, but there could be many other reasons for it.

Black women tend to have more Caesarian births and to give birth prematurely.

When you look at the African statistics, they show Black mother dying at far higher rates than in White countries, so clearly discrimination is not the cause of it.
