Sven Longshanks and Max Musson discuss the interest rate increase, Suella Braverman’s critique of diversity and ‘Greatest Briton’ Sir Flinders Petrie.
Interest rates have gone up again instead of taxes to try and stabilise the economy, but this means the bankers will make more money and it will enter circulation and continue to increase inflation.
Suella Braverman the Attorney General has banned diversity training from her department and says it is similar to the witch trials of the past, she wants to see it removed from all government departments and seems shocked it has made its way into the law courts. She highlights the fact a Black person can claim to be offended while nobody can then question it and asks how that fits in with the rule of law or due process?
Sir Flinders Petrie was the first archaeologist to measure the Great Pyramid and made the most accurate survey of Stonehenge ever. He created standards for archaeological digs that are now followed by all and taught Howard Carter who went to to discover King Tut’s tomb.
