Sven Longshanks looks at attempts by the LGBT lobby to claim historical heroes and heroines as their own.
St Joan of Arc is being portrayed as ‘gender neutral’ in a new play and now Elizabeth I has been called ‘non-binary’ and Aethelflaed of Mercia a transgender male in a piece written for Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
Instead of admitting that everyone can be both masculine or feminine at different times, the gay lobby insist that any evidence of this shows sympathy with their cause.
There are characters from history that do show homosexuality, transgenderism and associated traits, but most of the time they are history’s evil characters like the Emperor Nero.
