Sven Longshanks looks at the collapse of the Truss government and the search for a new Prime Minister.
First Kwasi Kwarteng, then Suella Braverman finally Liz Truss herself had all left office by the end of last week.
New contenders for Prime Minister must get the support of at least 100 MPs and the choice will be put to the Conservative Party members by Friday.
Boris announced he would take part, then backed down after private talks with Rishi Sunak, who has 150 MPs supporting him.
Penny Mordaunt has about 25 MPs and it looks like she will back down, leaving just one contender to be crowned, Rishi Sunak.
