Liz Truss has walked back her entire platform, sacked Kwasi Kwarteng and replaced him with Jeremy Hunt.
Within 24 hours he had implemented an entirely new mini-budget, blowing away any misconceptions people might have of British politicians being anything other than spokesmen for actors behind the scenes.
No mention has been made of Britain accepting more asylum seekers than Germany or Sweden after leaving the EU, on top of record numbers of legal migration with visas.
In Sweden a new coalition featuring the Sweden Democrats is pledging to deport foreign criminals at least.
