Sven Longshanks looks at the rejection of gender affirmation treatments along with the new trans standard of care guidance by Sweden.
Sweden has become the latest country to reject pharmaceutical and surgical treatments for gender confused children, instead opting to encourage them to be happy in the body they were born with.
This was in direct response to the lack of evidence supporting trans treatments and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health’s new Standard of Care advice given to doctors.
This advice includes claiming ‘eunuch’ is a gender identity that children can have and encouragement to begin gender affirmation treatments for children as young as 9 years of age.
The new Standard of Care guidance was admittedly written in such a way as to prevent doctors being sued for these experimental ‘treatments’, while at the same time making it possible for health insurance to fund them.
