Sven Longshanks looks at Police failure to solve thefts in England and Wales and use of the term ‘MAPs’ in Scotland.
Only 5% of thefts now result in charges, leaving over one million thefts unsolved in 2021.
Labour are alleging this is because of Tory cuts, but a more likely reason may be the concentration of police resources on internet opinion crimes, which are far more likely to result in identifying a suspect.
Police Scotland are blaming the EU for use of the term MAPs instead of paedophiles in a report, but Police Scotland still signed off on the report and did nothing about it.
Paedophiles are trying to normalise child abuse by getting the acronym accepted and having the Police use it will be welcomed by them.
