Albion Narrations: America, Roosevelt and the Causes of War III – AN 031723

Sven Longshanks narrates from Ezra Pound’s summarised research into how America freed itself from usury for a short period.

He explains how it was more expensive to keep a slave than an employee, as the owner was responsible for a slave’s welfare, but had no responsibility for the hired labour.

He also outlines how everything became monopolised, including the creation of money and how there needs to be fluctuation in prices, for speculators to make money.

This fluctuation is caused by artificial scarcity of goods causing increase in prices whereas before the age of the usurer, we had a just price for goods negotiated with the guilds
