Dr. Mathew Raphael Johnson exposes the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. In July of 2023, Metropolitan Pavel (Lebed) of Vyshgorod was placed under arrest by the Kiev administration and is presently being held in prison. His diocese contains the Kiev Caves, an ancient monastic complex which will soon be turned over to the Kievan state. As the “Orthodox Unification Council” church of Ukraine is extremely liberal, they have no use for monasticism, so the complex has been looted and its valuables are already appearing in western museums. The Metropolitan's crime is “justifying the Russian invasion of Ukraine” which, of course, is illegal under the US-sponsored martial law system. Today's episode looks at two articles on the Metropolitan's condition and the destruction of the Orthodox church under Kiev.
