Grandpa Dan takes a look at the lengths some people will go to in order to maintain the fantasy world they live in. In a piece written for Yahoo Finance, Rick Newman tries to tackle the ever so confounding issue of why the plebes seem to think the economy isn’t doing so hot when statistics and experts say otherwise. When confronted by the possibility that their fantasy world isn’t real, some people will resort to things such as implying that people must be zombie like or perhaps they live in a parallel universe. Of course information pertaining as to why people don’t view the economy as doing well is readily available: things such as the fact that more and more people are resorting to credit card debt in order to pay for daily necessities. However considering such things would threaten the fantasy world so they must be discounted. Instead, perhaps the zombies should be happy in their parallel universe, shut up and just eat GDP.
