I'm not sure why, but the western media is quite concerned with the conflict between Cambodia and Thailand which started on July 24, 2025. As Cambodia's military and economy is a small fraction of that of Thailand, they never had a chance, but to claim that this was over a “temple” or a “border dispute” is typical media ignorance. This is a substantial update to my 2020 show on Thailand's war with its billionaires. Since 2023, Thailand has again come under their rule. Oligarchy in Thailand doesn't even try to hide itself, especially in the case of the disgraced Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra. The corruption is so blatant that it requires a huge investment from the west for the rich to maintain any hold on power, and as of today, it is tottering.
