While this made headline news for several years starting in around 2010 and “ending” in 2018, it has not gone away. The Greek Crisis redefined what “austerity” was, and it has been used dozens of times since then, all to no effect. Greece lost 25 percent of its GDP to pay the bankers back, and her debt continued to grow. Greece is a primary example of the nature of predatory liberal capitalism in the Postmodern age.
