Artificial Intelligence (AI) was all the rage until Covid pushed it out of the public view. Promoted by powerful interests, it has an army of academics and clueless journalists at its disposal. Utopian futures are promised so long as this field is given unlimited grant money, but no evidence is ever given.
This broadcast will expose the absurdities, fallacies and sheer lies of this movement and those promoting it. The fundamental argument is that AI is based on circular reasoning: human intelligence is reduced to computer functions, so the operation of a computer is said to be human.
