Sven Longshanks and Max Musson continue discussing Captain Scott’s final expedition to the South Pole.
Scott had one piece of bad luck after another after arriving back in the Antarctic, from a motor sledge falling to the bottom of the ocean, to ponies floating away on ice floes and dogs falling into a crevasse.
However despite these hardships, the men remained in good spirits and were chivalrous to their competitors.
Just as the time came for Scott to pick the team he wanted for the final push to the Pole, they learned the crushing news that the Norwegians had got there first.
