Mark Collett, Laura Towler, Nativist and Saint Harrison review Zack Snyder’s stylish action movie, 300.
The film is based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel depicting the battle of Thermopylae.
Thankfully there is a lack of the modern sensitivities that are found in most other Hollywood movies.
Saint Harrison liked the story but not the execution, he felt it was too much style over substance, with the style being dated CGI.
Laura enjoyed it as it is visually exciting and artistic, but the characters are a bit two-dimensional.
Nativist liked it when it first came out, but was a bit disappointed watching it again today.
Mark appreciated how faithful it was to the comic and thought the CGI was used to good effect.
