Sven Longshanks and Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson discuss the current peace talks in Turkey.

Russia is keen to reach a solution to the conflict, but they do not want western interference this time, which they blame for the previous failures in Maidan and Minsk.

Putin and Zelensky will meet and there will be a de-escalation, in the hopes of avoiding having to flatten Kiev in a similar fashion to Mariupol.

Ukraine’s treatment of prisoners of war has been mentioned and a suggestion that the real reason for the conflict lies in the west listening to idealists instead of realists.
