Sven Longshanks and the PatriArt look at Caesar’s second attempt to conquer Britain for Rome.
This time Julius Casar stayed for 90 days, but still only managed to get 70 miles inland.
Caswallon operated a scorched earth tactic, leaving his foe with no resources to feed his army.
After a Thames gale wrecked the Roman fleet, Caesar became stuck in Verulam while his base was attacked in Thanet.
Once again the great Roman General was forced to flee, with no hostages listed and no booty taken.
