Albion Narrations: Plantation Life Before Emancipation V – AN 081922

Sven Longshanks narrates from a series of letters about plantation life during the slavery era.

In this episode, the author talks about how ‘The Apostle to the Blacks’ managed to galvanise the slave owners into building churches for the Blacks and how when he would visit the plantations, the master and his family would invite the slaves into the home so that all could listen to the religious instruction.

He also recounts some of the responses he got from the slaves, after giving them religious instruction.
