Patriotic History: St Oswald of Oswestry – PH 121622

Sven Longshanks, TruthVids and PatriArt talk about one of the first of the Saxon saints.

Oswald was the only Saxon king whose line was not wiped out by Cadwallo in the north.

He gathered his men and after praying, defeated Cadwallo and Penda.

The glory did not last long however, he was slain and crucified upon a tree by Cadwallo, but with many miracles associated with his death.

His relics caused visions and his cult even reached as far as Slovenia.

The last of the British Pendragons, Cadwallder Sanctus then lost his kingdom to famine and the Saxons took over England.
