Predictably the run of the mill conservative reaction is something along the lines of, “Democrats are the real ___”. This begs the question: Why are conservatives like this? GPD proposes that the answer to this is mainstream conservative media; namely Fox News and AM talk radio. These conservative media sources serve the purpose of keeping conservatives “on the reservation” as it were. If these conservative media sources were to suddenly go away and these same people were to listen to real alternative media sources, they quite likely would quickly become nationalists.
