Grandpa Dan returns for another fun filled installment of The Parish of the Patriots. GPD manages yet another show even though he has Idol by Yoasobi stuck in his head playing on repeat. One of the important topics covered in the first part of this week’s show is understanding that everyone comes to view issues through the lens of their own personal life experiences. Obviously these aren’t your experiences so as a result, opinions and views vary even though a group of people might arrive at an overall consensus. If you don’t understand this, then you might tend to be one of those people who come across as believing that it is your life’s mission to force everyone to see things the exact same way that you do. This will lead to you having a very difficult time when it comes to relationships with other people. In the Christian specific segment this week, we’ll be discussing one of the examples of how people misunderstand certain Bible passages as though Jesus is contradicting himself. For this GPD will look at Jesus’ warning that the gate to the Kingdom of Heaven is narrow and difficult while just a few passages later he says that His burden/yoke is easy and light. One would do well to remember that there are no contradictions in the Bible, only a failure to understand what’s being conveyed.
