Today's Orthodox Nationalist concerns the single most important event in European history after the Incarnation: the 451 Council of Chalcedon. There, the two natures – divine and human – in Christ were placed in a delicate balance, making human reason and freedom an autonomous entity in cooperation with Logos. Man freely comes to Christ, not through coercion. All ideas of freedom that came after – until the modern era – derived from the decisions made in the Synod of Chalcedon centuries ago.
