Today's Orthodox Nationalist deals with a little known topic, the Galician Russophile movement of the 19th century.  Dr. Johnson describes the causes and progress of this pro-Russian movement in Galicia, the alleged core of Ukrainian nationalism. The Russophiles, first developing in the Latinized Uniat rite, soon, morphed into a fully royalist and Orthodox movement that was stamped out and almost totally destroyed by the Austrian crown and their Polish agents before the First World War.
