For those interested in Russo-Ukrainian relations at any era, it is important to understand what happened in Ukraine when the Tsar was forced out in February 1917. At first glance, it seems to be total chaos until the Reds imposed themselves on the country in 1921. Complexity is not chaos. The various governments that came out of the fall of the Russian monarchy offer very interesting insights into Ukrainian political thought, despite its unfortunate end.
