The collapse of Assad's government led to a group of thugs to control the capital. They have no idea what to do with it, but their sponsors do. The present “government” controls only a small part of the country. It is not the “Syrian government” and the Islamic factions are not the “Syrian Army.” They remain what they've always been. The Syrian Arab Army, however, largely remained in the country, and controls a strip in the wealthier western part of the country on the Mediterranean coast. Radio Albion is the only English Speaking institution that's discussing this, as they've been ignored in the Regime's media. Hope remains.
