Sergei Glazyev (b 1961) is a pro-Russian Ukrainian economist (born in Zaporozhye) living in Russia. He is best known for his book 'The Last World War: The US to Attack and Lose' (Kizhniy Mir, 2016), one of his few works to be translated into English 

He was on the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission and served as an official advisor to President Putin until 2019. His works are not about economics per se, but about their moral and historical foundations. They seek to upend traditional western economics and its market-based assumptions

Since he has personally been sanctioned by the US and EU, he must be doing something right
