This program has cited him numerous times in the past as a man bringing difficult theological concepts to the mind of the ordinary parishioner 

Ultimately, for him, sin is reducible to pride. Pride is the ugliest of vices. Beauty alone is lovable, but Postmodernism has declared war on it, so what does any of this have to do with our normal, daily moral decisions?
