Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson looks at the anti-Bolshevik fighter (1901 to 1946)

In Russia, Vlasov remains the subject of constant debate and speculation. He was not alone in his rejection of the Soviet state, and several other armed formations came into existence which were not under Vlasov. 

Since so many Russian nationalists are mired in Stalinist concepts of the state, Vlasov is seen by many of them as a “traitor to the motherland.” This is strange because Marx stated that the “worker has no country” and proletarian internationalism is essential to Marxism. 

Nevertheless, this lecture will get into a few issues concerning his short but tragic role as an anti-Bolshevik fighter during World War II
