After confirmation that a known graveyard was actually a graveyard, indigenous people in Canada allegedly celebrated their National day by burning Catholic churches down.
This is due to the mainstream media inferring that rather than the records being lost, the wooden grave markers rotting and the child death rate at the time being one in three, the Catholic teachers must have massacred them all.
This type of hoax regularly appears in Canada, yet nobody appears to have the courage to point out the more likely explanation.
