Sven Longshanks looks at a report, which claims that speaking Welsh is ‘white supremacy’.
The report was commissioned by the Arts Council and the National Museum of Wales and claims that because most Black people cannot understand Welsh, it must be racist.
They forget that most White people cannot speak Welsh either and assume this has been deliberately done, to exclude Blacks and non-Whites.
They also complain that the concept of ‘Welshness’ excludes non-Whites, but it is based on ethnicity so of course it excludes others with different ethnicities who have their own cultural heritage to be proud of.
