As truth seekers, we tend to be more aware than others of the real nature of the clown world around us. Once we understand we have been lied to, we cannot help but immerse ourselves in the pursuit of truth and this leads to the inevitable conclusion that we live in an oppressive clown tyranny.
While this is all well and good, you have to remember that the more you immerse yourself in this, the more imperative it becomes that you come up for air every so often. Take the example of an Olympic swimmer: no matter how long they can stay under water, no matter how fast they can swim, at some point they have to come up for air.
Likewise as you immerse yourself in understanding the clown world around us, you have to remember to come up for air. You have to take a break from this. Spend time with your family. Take a day trip with a loved one or friend. Go see something you’ve never seen before. Laugh. You are not going to change the world.
There is an old saying that if you stare into the abyss for long enough, the abyss stares back. You should understand that if you immerse yourself in this insanity for long enough, the insanity can begin to creep into your mind and possibly damage you.
In the sermon this week, GPD will be looking at the Lord’s prayer. When it comes to reading your Bible, it is important to do so from a standpoint of quality over quantity. It is better to read just a few short verses and come away with wisdom and understanding, than it is to read an entire book and know nothing more than when you first began.
When Jesus instructed us on how to pray, He gave us much more than a simple outline of what our prayers should look like. This week we will delve into the more intricate meanings behind these few short verses.
