While it can be disheartening to think people will follow just about anything they are told by authority, it is important to remember there are limits. In no time at all the system has gone from offering sweet candy if you will simply “get into the van” to threatening to hit you over the head and force you in. While this method is generally effective in the short term, historically speaking it always has a relatively short shelf life.
In order to keep this tactic going, the oppressor must become even more belligerent but the longer it drags on, the more fatigue sets in. Then when you factor in other things such as the inevitable collapse of the economy and whether or not these morons manage to get this country into a war that can’t be won, it quickly becomes apparent that what we are witnessing today cannot go on forever. Those who rule over us are not some omnipotent and all powerful beings. They are people and truth be told, people who are short sighted and in a lot of ways not very smart.
Christmas has snuck up on us once again. Thus we will have a Christmas Christian specific message/sermon this week (try saying that three times fast). Christmas and Easter are the two times a year that most self professed Christians will bother to attend some form of church service. Alas, most Christmas sermons are pretty predictable as far as content. Not so here at The Parish of the Patriots. This week we too will talk about the glory and the hope represented by the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
However we will not stop there. Christ came to this world and died for our sins. Sadly the cost of this is played down and cheapened by what passes as the church today. This week we will discuss what is required of us. As we do so, it will quickly become apparent that a lot of work and effort is required on our part. This is only right considering the enormous price that was paid on our behalf.
