In the West, there is a mindset not just among NPC’s but also those in government and in various positions of power, that they can create reality with words, statements, grand pronouncements and virtue signalling. They hyper amplify narratives that have no relation to reality and appear to believe they can bend reality into what they wish it to be.
This has further been enabled by them banning virtually all opposing views from the public square (which today means social media). However at the end of the day, no matter how loudly they proclaim their false narratives to be true, it is inevitable that reality will re-exert itself.
In the Christian specific segment we get back to our Bibles as we take a look at Jesus’ warning that if we are ashamed of Him and His words, then in turn He will be ashamed of us. We are going to focus in on what it means to be ashamed.
It is important to understand that ashamed does not equal being afraid. As we face persecution for the sake of the gospel, it is natural that we are at times going to be fearful. When the Apostles had to flee Jewish instigated lynch mobs from one city to another, they were no doubt fearful to a certain extent. However they were never ashamed, as they boldly held to the truth.
