At this point it almost seems silly to be frustrated or somehow surprised that the media lies. What I do find frustrating however are people (conservatives) screaming from the rooftops about how the media lies. However as soon as the media throws a scrap from the table to them, these same conservatives go all in on believing the media. This is just one of the ways which the media manipulates conservatives over and over again. Imagine personally knowing a liar and con artist and yet as soon as that person told you something you wanted to hear, throwing all caution to the wind and going along with whatever they tell you.
In the Bible we are instructed that by their deeds we will know who people are. This implies that deceivers are slick talkers. If we know them by their deeds, then we can ignore their words. We can dismiss their slick talk. In the end the truth is revealed not by men’s words but by their deeds. For the deceiver, their deception will be revealed by what they do. For the believer their faith will be demonstrated by their actions. (Please note that we’re actually going to talk about quite a few different things but I have to try to put things together into some sort of coherent title or theme.)
