Messerschmitt joins Sven Longshanks and Dennis Wise to introduce the first part of a presentation on Leon Degrelle, while Sven and Dennis discuss the newly released Part 19 of Communism by the Back Door. First we hear about Leon Degrelle, the famous Belgian volunteer to the Eastern Front. We learn about where he grew up and how with his talent for writing, he soon made a name for himself in the Belgian world of journalism. Coming from a family of devout Catholics and continuing this family tradition he started to attract a lot of young Catholics to the banner of the political party he founded. His relentless exposure of corruption within the Belgian political elites made him popular with wider circles of the Belgian people and the first time his Rexist party entered an election they won a stunning victory. The exposed Belgian political establishment however soon united against Degrelle and the Rexists and after being made a political prisoner by them he only narrowly escaped certain death by execution. Liberated in France by the advancing German army he was able to go home to Belgium, but later decided to volunteer himself and any men who would follow him to face the Soviet menace in the East. Once in the Soviet Union he saw with his own eyes what the supposed Soviet Worker's paradise truly looked like. Sven draws attention to the fake buildings that were shown to tourists there and Dennis explains that the ambassador to the USSR featured in Part 19 would have been taken to see those by the Soviets. This lying politician told the British people that Stalin had no desire to interfere in any other country, yet the whole point of communism was to conquer all the other nations and create an international state, ruled by one elite group made up mainly of Jews. Around the same time that this statement was made, a letter was circulated admitting to the atrocities that were being carried out by the Red Army and outlining a plan to create black propaganda against the Germans instead. The power of propaganda should not ever be under-estimated, it was atrocity propaganda that convinced a whole generation of young European men to fight their brothers in the two wars and it is holocaust propaganda today, that still protects Jews from criticism. Sven points out that even the ancient Egyptians were aware of this power, creating huge sculptures depicting pharaohs in a land of plenty, while their workers were starving to death of malnutrition. Dennis then finishes the podcast off by giving us a hint of what will be in the final episode of his documentary series, which should be finished in the next few weeks.
