Beginning with the Catholic response to the final liberation of France from revolutionary atheism by Germany, we then take a look at how the Austrian Bishops saw the Anschluss.
After that there is a discussion about the Lateran Treaty between the Vatican and Italy and then the wording of the Concordat between Germany and the Pope.
The Church expressed it’s sincere desire to co-operate with the new German government in it’s fight against Godlessness and immorality.
Fritz Thysson confirms that their idea was to have a State based upon Catholic corporatism (Fascism) and supported by the Catholic church in the west and the Protestant church in the east.
The overwhelming number of Catholics among the leadership of the Fascist countries shows the truth of this and the Protestant leaders of Norway and Holland joining proves how Nationalism can transcend the barriers between the two.
