Mark Collett, Laura Towler, Nativist Concern and Horus review this Clint Eastwood classic.
Laura was impressed with the film’s critique of modern America and its support of traditional values.
Horus saw it as the story of how hard it is today to hold a family together.
Nativist was not impressed with the acting and the slow pace, but Mark loved it and was really impressed with its authenticity.
The major theme of the film is the generation gap and how the younger generation have been turned against their parents.
At the end of the film everyone has come to love him, but that wasnt because he changed, but because he remained the same.
The film is a tribute to the importance of masculinity and good male role models.
