The Daily Nationalist: Report Shows ‘Prevent’ Anti-Terror Failure – DN 051722

Sven Longshanks looks at a report showing ‘Prevent’ has been politicized and is going after the wrong people.

Last year there were more referrals to Prevent for right wing extremism than Islamic extremism, yet 4 jihadis on Prevent stabbed at least 8 people in the last 2 years.

The report claims the programme has become politicised, with left wing councils and school teachers using it to punish people with right wing views.

At the same time, they have been failing to flag up extremist Moslems and although the report neglects to mention it, probably through fear of looking Islamophobic.
