What you are, depends on who your ancestors were, not where you are born.

David Lammy confuses citizenship with ethnicity and thinks he can magically change from being a Black man into an English man just by claiming to be one.

We may have gifted citizenship to him, but it is not possible to hand him a new set of ancestors.
